PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL - INTERNATIONALISATION AND MANAGEMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION

EMUNI Professional School - Summer Semester 2010
in cooperation with Center for Higher Education
Policy Studies (CHEPS), the Netherlands, the following courses will be
organised:

Internationalisation
of Higher Education (5 ECTS) and
·
Management in Higher
Education (5 ECTS).
Courses will be taught in English and delivered from 28
June to 9 July 2010 at EMUNI University, Portorož – Piran, Slovenia.
The main aim of courses is to provide an overview of
history, general developments, trends and topics in higher education policy,
outlining the basic structures of higher education systems and the main
stakeholders in the field. The prevailing governance mechanisms in higher
education will also be explained. The structure of higher education funding
will be discussed on the basis of international trends and experiences. In
addition, courses will offer an insight into prominent developments in the area
of internationalization and their impact on national higher education systems.
During the courses participants will have the
opportunity to:
